How we started

The 2020 lockdown provided the time to design a tiny brewery and set the wheels in motion to build it. The plan was for it to become a
focal point for The Free House, fun to play with for our budding brewers and, on a slightly more serious note, to provide a little more
resilience should lockdowns become the norm.

What sets us apart

In keeping with the love of colour in The Free House our six unitanks are all different colours and the brewery is housed in a 40ft
container in the beer garden. The brewhouse is the first Brewiks system in NZ and is on wheels so we can roll it outside on to the deck when brewing and back inside to pack it away.
