How we started

8 Wired was born in 2009, when New Zealand's craft beer revolution was still in it's infancy. The sensible thing back then would have been to launch with a nice pilsner or pale ale, but who starts a brewery aiming to be sensible?

What sets us apart

We began as we meant to go on; by embracing classic Kiwi qualities of ingenuity and innovation by putting out bold experimental styles that no one else in the country was brewing. This year we won the overall champion New Zealand brewing company for the second time.

Most Famous Style

Our Wild Feijoa would have to be our most famous style. We have been brewing a new batch every year for 10 years with the
10th anniversary 2022 edition wining Champion NZ beer this year.
