OUR STORY
Sprig + Fern Brewing Co. started in sunny Nelson-Tasman, supplying the original few Sprig + Fern Taverns with a range of award-winning beer and cider, and has steadily grown from there.
Now, you'll find craft beer and cider, hard soda and non-alcoholic options on tap in sixteen Sprig + Fern Taverns in Nelson-Tasman, Wellington and Christchurch - plus other bars, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and liquor stores right across the country.

What sets us apart?
While Sprig + Fern Taverns vary in shape and size, they’re all cosy, family-friendly and welcoming. We deliberately have no TVs, no pokies and no pool tables, so there’s no distractions from great conversations – nor from the award-winning craft beer and cider, lovingly crafted by Master Brewer, Tracy Banner. Alongside the beer you'll find local wines, spirits, soft drinks, meals and snacks.
Most Famous Style?
That depends who you ask! Our most-awarded beer is The G.O.A.T Doppelbock, which typically makes an appearance in winter. For all other times, you can't go past a proper pint of Fern Lager or Tasman Reserve - both staples of our core range, and both customer favourites.
