OUR STORY
"Parrotdog was conceived in 2011 out of a love for good beer by three guys called Matt. Today, they continuing to do what was started back then: making approachable, award-winning beer from our rapidly expanding brewery in Lyall Bay, Wellington.
Nestled a block back from the dunes of Wellington’s iconic Lyall Bay, Parrotdog Bar takes us back to a simpler time. Inspired by the great pubs and taverns of yesteryear, you’ll find cozy booths, a pool table with views of the brewery, and at the heart, a traditional-style bar with 17 revolving taps showcasing the brewery’s core-range, Limited Release Series and L.B. (Lyall Bay) Beer series. Parrotdog Bar and Brewery is only a stone’s throw from Wellington Airport making it the perfect spot for a cold one before or after a flight.

Our feathered friends see the world differently. Through birds’ eyes, things might look almost psychedelic to us, with heightened colours and fresh hues forming a surprising new spectrum. This hazy, citrus and stone fruit accented IPA with a mellow, soft and silky texture gives a similarly refreshing change of perspective."
