OUR STORY
Having long been on the consumer advocacy side of beer, Greig McGill with his friend and business partner Phil Murray decided to make their part time passion project (since 2011) a full time brewery and taproom in 2018. Greig is a big fan of beer diversity, so it was important to him to brew some of the beers often neglected by the market, as well as popular favourites. Brewaucracy has grown to become the beating heart of a wonderful local beer community, and Greig and Phil are proud of the part their taproom plays in the lives of our guests and regulars.

Brewaucracy brings great beer to the table, but so does everyone these days. What most sets us apart is that, from the moment you walk in the door, you are a part of the Brewaucracy family. Our regulars love nothing more than to chat to tourists and newcomers alike, from any and all backgrounds, cultures, and lifestyles. Brewaucracy welcomes dogs, as well as their humans, and always strives to be comfortable, welcoming, and inclusive.

Although it can be a hard sell in a hop-obsessed world, our Devil in the Boardroom ESB is a beer-lover's favourite.
