How we started
Hawkes Bay Brewing Co opened a small brewery in Onekawa in 1995 and in 2007, the Brewery was moved to Meeanee, Napier. A purpose-built tasting room (The Filter Room) was built in a rural orchard alongside, with a sunny cafe and18 of our craft beers, ciders, ginger beers & sangria on tap.

We brew our own beer with long time staff who are dedicated to consistency and excellence.

Most famous style
Our Pilsner is our Rockstar Performer although the others (especially our award winning Pure Lager) jostle for that position as the seasons change. Our Black Duck Dark Ale is a winter favourite with bold flavours using 5 different malts.
