How we started

Phathouse Brewing all started with 25L homebrewed batches in our Studio in Kerikeri, with Rob drawing on brewing techniques learned with his Uncle 25 years previously and brewing knowledge gleamed from on/off All Grain brewing over the years. A late night find on Trademe catapulted us from 25Lbatches to a 1600L Brewhouse overnight and PhatHouse Brewing Co. was born.

At PhatHouse Brewing we're not just about brewing great beer, we also love to celebrate it too! Regular high energy Dance Party

events, featuring nationally acclaimed DJ's, are held at the Phathouse Brewery Bar for our local loyal crew to enjoy right here in the beautiful Bay Of Islands.

Most Famous Style

Our All Day Sesh IPA and Phat Haze Hazy are probably our most popular beers, however by far the most famous (infamous?!) is the

MegaMega Lager.... after a slight glitch in the grain bag counting on brew day, this higher than expected high octane lager was born. It

proved so popular that we decided to stick with the recipe upgrade and MegaMega Lager joined our core range lineup.
