OUR STORY
Wigram Brewing has 21 years of brewing under its belt, an impressive selection of medals, and trophies here and Australia. Wigram is small, independent and they’ve been around from the start of the craft beer movement. The Wigram Brewing philosophy is ‘beer is a language, and communication is everything’. With a range from pilsners to stouts and all the shades in between you are guaranteed to find a beer for on one of their 20 taps at their venue Hangar57 Taproom & Fillery.
Wigram Brewing Co, is all about local, being a part of the community, offering a place for locals and visitors alike, sharing a love beer, family and a distinctly Kiwi DIY attitude. They may not be flashy, but the beer’s damn good.

Brewing good beer has been top priority and there hasn't been a year where Wigram Brewing hasn't achieved medals acknowledging their beer superiority and consistency alongside their peers. We brew to the beat of our own drum and we brew what we would want to drink.
Most Famous Style?
Our dark ales have been consistently recognised and we are really proud of them. Our Ace Smokey Porter, Czar Stout and Wee Reeky Scotch Ale are a few of our favourites to savour & food match. Our Spruce Beer is also a beer we known for. Brewed using Captain Cooks original recipe of Rimu & Manuka leaves, Spruce Beer is unique to Aotearoa & historically the first beer brewed here. Our new and very popular Dog Beer is brewed for our canine friends using a bone broth base and canned for having a beer with your best furry friend.
