OUR STORY
Launched in 2015 at a micro scale brewing all our beers on a 50L brew kit, to brew and supply our local market of the Mackenzie, the brewing scale became unsustainable and progressed to a combination of locally brewed and contract brewed. With recipe development done in house and to suit our local area.
What sets us apart?
Burkes Brewing Co, for a small team have excelled in producing a relatively small range of beers that are crafted to meet our local expectations thus sessional but extremely tasty and well made as show by our recent completion results over the last few years. Unforgiven Porter, winning Champion Beer 2021, and Stout and Porter Trophy 2021 and 2023 at the NZBA, New World Top 30, and AIBA Gold & Silver. over the last 3 years. #Fakenews Hazy IPA winning New World Top 30 twice and AIBA Gold, Seven Day Weekend Apres Lager winning gold at NZBA. These are our core and flagship beers but plenty of our other beers have also seen fantastic results over the last 9 years.
