How we started
Brave started back in 2014 when we initially set up a commercial brewery in our home garage. We sold our beer locally at the Hastings Farmer's Market and grew from there. It wasn't long before we'd outgrown our home garage, and moved into a new premises closer to the CBD, allowing for us to operate an onsite tasting room too.
What sets us apart
Our brewers work hard to put out consistently good quality beers. Because our core range is brewed so frequently they have really dialled in these recipes. Our brewery/taproom can be found in the heart of the Hastings CBD, with onsite eatery, cellar door and of course great views of where the good stuff is made.
Most Famous Style
Tigermilk IPA is our biggest seller by far, and has a rather fond following. We still struggle at times to meet the demand for this product. It's a light bodied, easy drinking IPA. The hop blend results in a delicious cocktail of citrus and tropical fruit notes. Tigermilk is bold, but affectionate.
